Higher-order topological heat conduction on a lattice for detection of corner states

چکیده

A heat conduction equation on a lattice composed of nodes and bonds is formulated assuming the Fourier law energy conservation law. Based this equation, we propose higher-order topological model breathing kagome lattice. We show that temperature measurement at conner node can detect corner state which causes rapid toward bath, several-nodes determine precise states.

Corner states of topological fullerenes

The unusual electronic properties of the quantum spin Hall or Chern insulator become manifest in the form of robust edge states when samples with boundaries are studied. In this work, we ask if and how the topologically nontrivial electronic structure of these two-dimensional systems can be passed on to their zero-dimensional relatives, namely, fullerenes or other closed-cage molecules. To addr...

Lattice of compactifications of a topological group

We show that the lattice of compactifications of a topological group $G$ is a complete lattice which is isomorphic to the lattice of all closed normal subgroups of the Bohr compactification $bG$ of $G$. The correspondence defines a contravariant functor from the category of topological groups to the category of complete lattices. Some properties of the compactification lattice of a topological ...

Characterization of Topological States on a Lattice with Chern Number

We study Chern numbers to characterize the ground state of strongly interacting systems on a lattice. This method allows us to perform a numerical characterization of bosonic fractional quantum Hall (FQH) states on a lattice where conventional overlap calculation with known continuum case such as Laughlin state, breaks down. We calculate the Chern number by manipulating the twist angles of boun...

Inducing topological order in a honeycomb lattice

We explore the possibility of inducing a topological insulator phase in a honeycomb lattice lacking spin-orbit interaction using a metallic (or Fermi gas) environment. The lattice and the metallic environment interact through a density-density interaction without particle tunneling, and integrating out the metallic environment produces a honeycomb sheet with in-plane oscillating long-ranged int...
